The EK Classic RGB P240 kit is a value-oriented, high-performance RGB liquid cooling kit with low noise emissions, ready for overclocking and efficiently cooling any mainstream Intel or AMD CPU on the market. Designed for performance-oriented users using modern ATX and m-ATX cases, the P kits are a great way to enter the world of custom liquid cooling-EK
So, what’s it actually like? Well over the past couple of weeks, I have put the Classic RGB P240 Kit to the test to see exactly what it can do.
Big thanks to EK for sending this over for review!

Design and Features
This water cooling kit is compatible with the following CPU sockets:
- Intel LGA-1150/1151/1155/1156
- Intel LGA-2011(-3)
- Intel LGA-2066
- AMD Socket AM4
EK Supremacy Classic RGB
The EK Supremacy Classic RGB is one of EK’s high end copper, nickel plated CPU blocks for both modern Intel and AMD CPUs. It has the classic EK design that will perfectly cool your CPU even with and Overclock. It comes fitted with the Intel LGA 115x mounting hardware but an AM4 bracket is included in the box. It has a clear acrylic top with a chrome EK logo on the bottom right as well as a 4 pin A-RGB connector. There is also a jet plate covering the fins with an extra two included in the box.
EK CoolStream Classic PE 240
The EK CoolStream Classic PE 240 is a 40mm thick radiator with a lower fin density, but due to the thickness still allows plenty of cooling potential.
And by having a lower fin density, means the fans can run at a lower speed-reducing noise.
EK Vardar 120MM RGB Fans
The EK Classic RGB P240 Kit comes with two of EK’s high static pressure Vardar RGB Fans. They have an RPM of 500-2200 by using the PWM standard available on all modern motherboards. The fans have a dual ball bearing shaft and a noise level of 33.5 dBA.
EK-XRES 140 SPC PWM Classic RGB Pump/Res Combo
The included pump/res combo is one of EK’s value oriented pump combos which helps reduce the overall price for the kit. Even though it is cheaper, That doesn’t impede on any performance with the pump still providing adequate pressure. It is also a PWM pump, which automatically controls the water flow based on the CPU temp.
Fittings and Tubing
Now, I could give you a whole bunch of info on the tubing and fittings, but that is not really necessary. The tubing is nice and soft and flexible and won’t kink too easily. The nickel plated fittings add a really nice touch to the system and are very minimalistic with no branding on them at all.
EK-CryoFuel Clear is a pure, non-toxic coolant based on the patent-pending chemical formula, which prevents the creation of any sediments in the liquid cooling loop. The 100mL concentrate is to be mixed with distilled water in ratio 1:9 to form 1L of ready-to-use coolant.
Apart from the Radiator and Fittings, everything in this kit has RGB functionality with the 12v rgb connector. An RGB splitter is included in the box and it is compatible with most RGB control software.
The EK Classic RGB P240 is a great kit for the price, you get everything you need to start a basic watercooling loop. It looks fantastic and performs fantasically.I highly recommend this for watercooling beginners or if you only have an AIO and are looking into custom loops but don’t quite know how to start. Well Done EK!
